Welcome To MacPac '08!

"My hope for our country resides in my faith in the American character, the character which proudly defends the right to think and do for ourselves, but perceives self-interest in accord with a kinship of ideals, which, when called upon, Americans will defend with their very lives." -- John McCain

Short-n-Sweet

I was appalled by last night's pale imitation of a town hall meeting. NBC and Tom Brokaw have, once again, proven that they favor Senator Obama over Senator McCain. The questions did not delve into any new topics, and while I understand that the economy is at the forefront of everyone's minds, this debate was supposed to be for those who were undecided. Instead, we got 40 minutes of Obama stump speeches with the same ole tired soundbites, and 35 minutes of McCain being told he needed to move on, wrap it up, time was short. Those five minutes that McCain did not get in rebuttal were crucial - and Brokaw knew it.

Still, when Obama went on and on and on about his tax plan that was supposed to rain down money on all of us poor working saps, a friend and I were on MSN discussing the debate as it occurred. He sent me this link: http://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/jfkeconomicclubaddress.html

JFK - the person the Democrats love to cite in the same sentence as Obama - actually had a tax plan similar to McCain's plan! Obama supporters, of course, won't read this - it's too long, too many big words, and it doesn't support the Messiah's dream of "tax cuts for 95% of America". It does, though, sound very, very similar to what Senator McCain envisions for our country when he gets into office. And remember: Reagan managed to accomplish a similar plan and show a positive impact on America in just two years.

Something to think about....

McCainace, You have looked at this debate with another unique set of eyes. I never picked up on that, and I am always skeptical about the media.

In the past, Democratic victories were no big deal, because the worst thing that would happen is that taxes would go up. Then people would get angry and vote in a Republican President or Congress or conservatives in local offices, and the cycle would renew itself.

I am worried that this time the damage will be permanent, because we will be damaged at our very roots.

Within the 7000 people who sometimes go to this site (and on Self Evident Truths), I'm sure that there are at least ten of them who are staying home and being very vocal about it, influencing others in the process.

On AOL I have read, from time to time, a poster who is sick of both parties and says that they are just not going to vote in this election.

And on the conservative sites, I have read posts on how an Obama victory would be GOOD for the conservative movement, because people will be so mad that they will come out in droves the next go-round and choose Republicans.

We cannot afford to play Republican Roulette anymore.

Team,

I have been spending some time on other blogs, notably no quarter. You will be amazed to learn that in PA, OH, NC, and even in CA (!) there are a lot of 'silent' McCain supporters. We are finding out that Zogby drops us from their polling lists once we identified ourselves as Democrats for McCain. Also, everyone assumes that all Democrats are in Obama's camp, and that all the new voter registrations that are Dems are pro-Obama. You have to remember that tons of people registered to vote for Hillary, and many of those are now PUMAs that are moving to McCain.

And all of this is happening under the MSM radar. We're invisible - they don't see us.

We should use that. You should help us use that. There is a group called Democrats for McCain, and HRC supporters for McCain. They are mobilizing in OH, FL, NC, and other states to prevent voter fraud and spread the word. Here in CA, McCain supporters are afraid to put up signs because the Obots will vandalize.

So they'll be invisible to pollsters, but they'll vote on election day.

Let's keep mobilizing and make this election like the Dewey / Truman outcome. The press thought Dewey was blowing out Truman, and printed that up on headlines...and it was all premature. Truman defeated Dewey.

Go McCain Palin 08!

Hiya, TS!!

It's nice to see you on this blog, since I've given up on the McCain.com site's endlessly screwed up blog! I'm jaded when it comes to the media, because they've been shoving Obama down our throats (and getting "tingles" up their legs) since the primary season.

I don't like hearing the "Let Obama win so we can take back the White House in 2012" argument. I don't feel that anyone who is not fit to lead should get a pass and a free ticket to Washington just because some right-wing conservatives have their britches in a twist about the Republican candidate.

Maybe if they pay a bit more attention to the programs Obama wants to get started - at a high cost to the middle class - they might get off of their behinds and go vote on Nov. 4.

I don't believe polls, anyway, because I learned in statistics that anyone can skew the results of a poll by the way the questions and/or answers are written. Considering who wants Obama in office, that's why he's consistently ahead in the polls.

By the way, have you noticed that as Obama's lead gets larger in the polls, the stock market falls even farther?? Food for thought....*LOL*

Hiya, Sharon!

Thanks for posting on our blog. I believe you are correct in your assessment of those of us flying under the proverbial radar, particularly with regard to polls and surveys. I'm waiting for some Obama punk to vandalize my truck because of my McCain and McCain/Palin bumper stickers on it, and I'll bring that little s**t up on charges so fast his socialistic head will spin. We've had some random car break-ins, so the local PD are spending a lot of time in our parking lots at my apartment complex (we have about 4 officers who live in our apartmetns, so that helps).

I'll tell you what: You help us by passing around this blog, and we'll help you by going to your sites! Get the word out on other blogs to keep the faith and to vote for the best leader for the White House - not for skin color or rhetoric. I think we can pull this off if we don't lose hope.

Well, not the kind of "hope" Obama wants for us with bringing Socialism/Marxism to America, anyway.....See you on the blogs!!
